Abstract

We are interested in minimizing peak energy usage, an important factor in systems where power is supplied externally, such as chips and circuit boards. The goal is to reduce peak energy without increasing the time required, and as a byproduct to also reduce the total enery. Algorithms for meshconnected computers are developed for problems involving images and graphs. We can also simultaneously reduce the total energy used by any processor, an important factor in sensor networks.
