Abstract

This work presents an extensible Eclipse platform based implementation of a Semantic Web based approach of information extraction from learning objects and transforming the learning objects to meaningful XML documents. The target XML documents contain the contents of learning objects meaningfully explained by XML tags, which represents the context of particular contents. Such meaningful XML documents allow transforming the content to another context, like language, that provides interoperability between diverse learning objects and learners. The present work is particularly focused on presenting X(HTML) documents of university curricula and course outlines in a form convenient for further effective integration and application of information extraction algorithms.
