Abstract

Ada [1] has many advantages for writing programs of ecological models. Tasks are the most novel and enable programs to be written in a way that is closer to the structure of such models. As the flows for ecological models are usually unconditional, deadlock of tasks can be detected by simple diagrams. Tasks aid debugging of ecological programs.
