Abstract

In this paper it is suggested that the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, normally applied to physical systems, can be applied in analogy to certain phenomena found in software engineering. The point is illustrated with several examples. The applications of this principle in the design and testing of software is discussed. The import of this is that paradigms relating physical phenomena to software engineering may be found.
