E-learning tools and their uses evolve according to new requirements and implementation possibilities. One area where e-learning tools could make a larger contribution is Computer Assisted Assessment (CAA). When performed online, the assessment process provides many benefits including simplified marking procedures, and immediate feedback. CAA has, among others, two major hurdles to overcome - rigorous student authentication and a nontrusted environment. Many instructors do not tackle those two problems and continue to present evaluation material in paper form, forgoing all the benefits of the e-learning model. While there are limited options to provide rigorous authentication, we believe that our proposed solution creates the required trusted environment.
