Abstract

We demonstrate the first part of a web based intelligent student advising system in this paper. We investigate to develop an online knowledge-based advising system using today's state of the art web-based technology. Our goal is to algorithmically determine the optimal "class schedule" by which a given student can graduate, given information about that student's degree goals and completed coursework.
