Abstract

Local autocorrelation function is a well-known transform used for representing the transient information in a signal. In this paper, we adapt this transform to the image watermarking problem and offer a new framework for joint spatial-spectral watermarking. The local autocorrelation function is computed for selected pixels from the image and the watermark is embedded in this new transform domain. A semi-blind watermark extraction algorithm is proposed and the performance is quantified by deriving the probability of error. The robustness of the proposed watermarking algorithm is also tested under different attacks.
