Computer Aided Sculpting course is an experimental interdisciplinary course that focuses on both artistic and scientific aspects of shape modeling. I have been teaching this course every year since 1996. The problems coming out of the course influenced the development of our Topological Mesh Modeling system, called TopMod. More than 10 students added new features to TopMod while they were taking Computer Aided Sculpting course as their projects. I have at least ten published papers and sketches about the techniques I have developed while I was teaching the course.See http://www-viz.tamu.edu/faculty/ergun/teaching/index.html to go to class web-pages.
