Abstract

In this paper, we propose a practical partial encryption method and a joint fingerprinting and decryption scheme of 3D data to support collaboration in the manufacturing industry, in particular the automobile and shipbuilding sector. The proposed fingerprinting and encryption method called as JFD of 3D data is a Joint Fingerprinting and Decryption scheme of 3D data based on partial encryption. The JFD of 3D data is a more computationally efficient and convenient way of fingerprinting without the need for expensive tampering equipment. We analyze the security related problems and discuss performance of our proposed scheme. We also show the feasibility and practicality of the JFD scheme of 3D data by a fast prototyping implementation.
