Abstract

In this paper we present an agent-based infrastructure, which provides integration and collaboration of autonomous, context-aware services in a heterogenous environment. Special consideration is given to the support for simultaneous service combination and coordination, a plug-in mechanism to enable distributed development and service composition, and the FIPA compliant implementation of the inter-agent communication using a well defined communication ontology. Furthermore, we give an example of the architecture's ability to support the cooperation of multiple services in a meeting scenario using an intelligent connector service and a semantic web oriented travel service.
