Nowadays it becomes common for a person to have several computers at his disposal. Instead of treating each computer individually, the person would like to have all these computers form a distributed workspace. In other words, the person would like to access all these computers through any one of them. Recent technology advances in hardware and software make a distributed workspace possible. In this paper, we describe our experience of developing a distributed workspace using mirror drivers in Windows environment. By using a mirror driver, an application or the whole desktop of one computer can be shown on another computer very quickly. With the distributed workspace, a user is able to see any window in this workspace, to compare windows from different machines on the same screen, and to exchange information among computers.
