Structural computing consists of both theory and practices to support all hypertext domains in a native way. Component-Based Open Hypermedia Systems (CB-OHS) constitute the incarnation of this discipline. Nevertheless, CB-OHSs lack support for hypermedia design. This paper describes the process of structural analysis. Moreover, it studies the design of a UML class diagram by examining popular hypertext systems, asserts the significance of this approach in structural computing and presents some discoveries found.
