The Elucidate-Analogize-Delete (EAD) model for structural computing infrastructures began as a thought experiment on the implications of emphasizing structural abstractions over data abstractions not just in the middle and application layers of structural computing environments, but also in the lowest levels of their architectures. We have recently implemented the navigational model defined by the Open Hypermedia Systems Working Group and an XLink server on an EAD backend in a version of the Construct structural computing environment. In this paper, we describe our initial experiences with this implementation, and suggest several changes to the EAD model.
