Abstract

The use of Public Displays as ubiquitous information visualization means will exploit in the future. These kinds of displays will provide different communities with means for showing opportunistic, information for different users as well as personal information contextualized to the specific moment, situation and location. Current research in this area has identified several problems that are still unsolved concerning simultaneous, multiple user information visualizations. Specific problems raised in this area deal with usability, privacy and personal information management in shared spaces. This paper presents preliminary work that address these open problems and presents ongoing research towards the definition of a model for managing context, content and user interface visualizations for multi-users public displays.
