With the increasing focus on grid development there is a need for proper abstraction for modelling grids. In this paper a platform for agent-based grid framework is presented. This platform takes the form of a meta-grid that consists of an abstract grid representing "ideal" kinds of grids. This layer is developed to deal with problems raised by the differences between grids, and by other technical details specific to each one by hiding them and specifying an uniform model. The creation of such platform will dispense the programmer of applications of caring about problems specific to the environment and let him concentrate only on the development of the applications themselves. Therefore, this structure will help us to conceptualize and abstract the environments of grids. The multiagent system that we want to create will interact with this meta-grid to solve the real world problems without caring about specificities proper to each physical grid.
