Abstract

User context characterizes the user's environment and situation.Knowledge of user context helps to improve how people communicateand enables new context-aware applications. This letter concernsinferring and predicting mobile users' context from time-stampedsequences of location identifiers. Results are validated using datafrom operational Global System for Mobile Communications* (GSM*)networks. © 2007 Alcatel-Lucent.
