Automatically processing US English broadcast news such that a Government data analyst can efficiently and accurately discover points of interest is a challenge. Performing this task on a new language without understanding the language makes the task near impossible. But with a little knowledge of broadcast news and state of the art audio, video and textual processing technologies at hand, we have built a system built that processes US English and Arabic broadcast News. Also, the collected data is programmatically shared to researchers.
