Abstract

What time is it? This paper presents the design, implementation, and use of a web-based system for synchronizing the start/stop time of interactive in-class learning experiences. Besides the immediate application, the examples presented serve as a overview, introduction, or review of aspects of many interrelated web-based technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, the DOM, ASP/PHP, etc. The ideas presented can be used to stimulate student interest in additional web applications involving timing issues.
