Abstract

The paper presents current investigations into the behavior-oriented nature of intelligence to develop complex autonomous agents. The research work explores multidisciplinary aspects of development such as models and systems, underlying the role played by Computer Science. Further, the paper brings two main contributions to knowledge: a) an agent-oriented overview of Artificial Intelligence research and, b) general ideas to solve complexity in the development of more real, autonomous agents.
