Abstract

In this paper we demonstrate how version features can be defined, detected, and used to determine language versions. Using the BNF notation, distinct features can be conveniently specified in the context-free grammar global to all of the versions. A feature matrix specifying the relationship maintained by terminal features is proposed to implement the global grammar, on which determining language versions is based.
