This paper briefly summarizes the work we have done on language versions determination in distributed systems. It is shown that a computer program can still be successfully compiled, locally or remotely, even though the host node does not support the desired version(s) and/or the program is written in multiple versions, disjoint or not. The approach is especially appropriate for those systems with a high potential to grow and expand frequently.
