Abstract

Security risk assessment is a major component in many security certification exams, but it is relatively neglected in universities' computing curricula. As the impact of network security threat becomes greater, the need to reduce network vulnerabilities increases commensurately and thus, network risk assessment becomes more and more important. This paper describes an experience of teaching a graduate-level online course in Network Risk Assessment. The course content as well as evaluation results and plans for the future are discussed.
