This paper presents the development of a model for implementation of mobile technology in ports. The work was developed in the context of the use of mobile devices to automation of procedures for the supervision and operations of berthing of the port of Santos. The term mobile technology is employed to define equipment, media and software engineering to extend the computerized form outside the boundaries of existing infrastructure.
