Abstract

In this paper the design methodology of parallel distributed fuzzy PID control is presented. The idea is to design a control law for each rule of the fuzzy controller and blend them together. The proposed parallel distributed fuzzy control algorithm is developed as a natural similarity to the conventional PID controller. This paper describes the structure and the design aspects of a fuzzy PID controller based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy technique with fuzzy-neural implementation. The antecedent part of the applied fuzzy rules contains a linear function, similar to the discrete equation of the corresponding conventional controller. The final controller is realized as a parallel distributed combination of the local controllers represented into the fuzzy rules. The simulations demonstrate satisfactory results of these performances and implementations applied to a nonlinear plant - hydro turbine generator.
