Abstract

The paper shortly presents the situation of the Romanian universities regarding information systems implementation and deployment. The information presented is the result of a study regarding the current state of the Romanian universities in the process of data and information system integration, performed at the end of 2007 in 35 accredited universities. This study was used as a base for identifying and analyzing the main factors of influence for developing an integrated university environment and for identifying concrete action directions for accomplishing that integration.
