Abstract

Mobile devices are becoming increasingly powerful and accessible as wireless networks cover most of our daily environment and a variety of software frameworks makes the task of building mobile applications simpler. M-learning applications are a new and interesting breed of mobile applications for supporting a broad range of learning activities on a variety of mobile devices. In this article, we review representative m-learning applications and discuss our own work on MediCol, a tool for supporting the activities of medical students in their surgery rotation.
