Abstract

This paper investigates the ability of particle swarm optimization (PSO) in cooperating by graph theory for network reconfiguration to reduce the power loss and voltage profile enhancement of distribution system. The numerical results are presented on a distribution system to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method by PSO using graph theory. Furthermore, to validate the obtained results by PSO using graph theory, Genetic Algorithm (GA) using graph theory is applied and the results are compared.
