Abstract

This paper focuses on face-to-face collaborative learning in a classroom using spatio-temporal contents, which is typically conducted after outdoor class in an elementary school. A tangible collaborative learning support system that uses spatio-temporal contents has been proposed and implemented. Temporal data sequence that shows growth of a plant and geographic data collection are visualized on a table display by the system. Methods for operating and exchanging contents smoothly on the system have also been developed. Experiments have revealed that the system could provide better accessibility to the contents than with a traditional practice.
