Abstract

The paper describes the design of the closed-domain question answering system. Key properties of the system are: (i) ability to answer questions in natural (Slovene) language, (ii) ability to employ structured as well as unstructured data sources, (iii) ability to automatically form questions and answers, (iv) ability to conduct a simple dialog with the purpose of retrieving user-specific information, (v) employability in new domains, and (vi) ability to answer questions referring to its own functioning as well as to react on the aggressive questions asked by its users.
