Abstract

This paper proposes a new type of media handover system with an IrDA pointer that moves the media being used on a video phone conversation from one device to another. This system introduces a user's intuitive operation, i.e., just pushing a button of the IrDA pointer toward the target device, to execute a media handover. User's intuitive operations do not bother the user. In addition, since user specifies a device explicitly, it is possible to correctly select the device that the user really wants to use. As a consequence, this system provides the user with a precise and stress-free media handover service.
