Game theory may be helpful to analyze the relevance of genes in determining a specific biological condition or response of interest (e.g. a disease of interest) in a population of cells. The first goal of this paper is to understand how accurate is the relevance index provided by the Shapley value on games arising from microarray experiments. Such a question is the prelude to the second subject of this paper, which concerns comparison between the relevance indices under different biological conditions.
