Abstract

In this paper, a Digital and Modular Design Scheme based on education theory in RPG Learning Game is proposed. Designers can follow a standardized and modular e-Iearning game creation procedure to make a learning game. Each game or story created according to the proposed game creation procedure can be an independent RPG unit which corresponds to an actual teaching activity. Different independent RPG game units can be integrated into one larger game platform. The teaching content of square measure in elementary school is taken for example and 58 fifth-grade elementary students is invited to play the game. The research result shows that the learning game designed according to the DMS-e RPGLearning creation procedure can help students learn and encourage their interests.
