This paper addresses the problem of fault detection(FD) in low frequency domain for linear discrete-time delay systems. It is shown that FD problem in low frequency range can be formulated as looking for an H∞ fault detection filter(FDF) and the proposed filter design conditions are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness of the present methodology.
