Abstract

Images from the digital image sensor are corrupted with all kinds of noise interference, including additive, multiplicative and mixed noise. In particular, the extent of multiplicative noise changes with signal amplitude, there is no better removing method, and in recent years appears a kind of image estimation based on total least squares (TLS), which is no parameter estimation, can better solve the problem. The estimation performance depends on many factors, one of which is the size of the image patches impacting more greatly on estimation. This issue will be studied in the paper.
