Abstract

In this paper a fuzzy supervisor for combining H∞ techniques and sliding mode to control a nonlinear uncertain and disturbed SISO system is presented. The plant is approximated by two adaptive fuzzy systems. The process is controlled by a combination of a sliding mode controller, and an H∞ controller according to a weighting factor calculated by the fuzzy supervisor. The global stability and the robustness of the closed-loop system are guaranteed using the Lyapunov approach. An illustration example is presented to show the efficiency of the proposed method.
