A robust image watermarking scheme based on 3-dimensional discrete cosine transform (3D DCT) is proposed for color image copyright protection. Firstly, the color image is divided into 3-D blocks, and then they are transformed into transform domain by 3D DCT transform, finally, the generated pseudo random sequence is embedded into the selected coefficients. Applying the nice correlatives among different color channels, the watermark can be embedded with good robustness. The theoretic analysis shows that the proposed method has good robustness over 2-D based method. Experimental results support the conclusion well.
