Abstract

Attention will be paid to cooperative use of analog and digital signals to make a full use of each excellent feature. All optical analog-to-digital conversion has been investigated to solve problems due to electrical bandwidth limitation. In this paper, our proposed all optical A/D conversion is briefly reviewed and our recent trial for securing high power-stability of optical pulses for quantization as well as sampling is described.
