Abstract

In this paper, we present some initial findings from case studies which shed light on consumers' expectations towards future IPTV services in different European media markets, namely in Finland and in the UK. Specifically, our understanding of the salient factors that shape consumers' IPTV experience is being used as a basis for the design of a peer-to-peer based media distribution platform which is being developed by a consortium of 20 partners from across Europe.
