Solving the problem of rightful ownership for digital images is the main application of watermarking technology. In this work, the proposed algorithm solves the problem of proving rightful ownership for digital coloured images. This algorithm succeeded in using gray watermarks which represent valuable information. The Human Visual System sensitivity has been taken into consideration. The algorithm satisfies all the necessary conditions for successful watermarking algorithms. Broadband of test images, watermarks and attacks are used to judge fairly the algorithm. Subjective and objective tests are used to validate the success of proving rightful ownership for digital coloured images.
