Abstract

Availability of real-time speech transcription anywhere, anytimess, represents a potentially life-changing opportunity for the hearing-impaired to improve their communication capability. We present e-Scribe, a prototype web-based online centre for real-time speech transcription for the hearing-impaired, which provides ubiquitous access to speech transcription utilizing contemporary communication technologies.
