Abstract

This article presents requirements and a technological proposal for improvement of the project of Nota Fiscal Paulista (São Paulo Tax Invoice) of the Government of the State of São Paulo - Brazil, aiming at the automation of the process of issuing the electronic tax documents in the retail. The work has been developed based on the analysis of the current environment of São Paulo Tax Invoice and other electronic document projects implemented by the Secretariat of Finance of the State of São Paulo and presents new operating and technology use concepts that may meet the requirements of the business. The term "technological" in this work is employed to define equipment, communication means and software engineering that permit to extend the computing support to the field, with the purpose of improving and speeding up the operations.
