With the rising popularity of mobile devices, applications for these devices must meet the challenges of a system with keypad input only. Navigating between randomly placed items using four directional keys can be frustrating if the navigation does not meet the user's intuitive expectations. Automatic programming with the ADATE system is used to generate a navigation algorithm based on subjective inputs from a user. This means that the user's mental model of navigation automatically is translated into a program.
