The work deals with the problems of wireless communication in an autonomous mobile robots application. In the first part is given a definition of a cooperative exploration scenario for a group of mobile platforms and the requirements on the communication are evaluated. Then the overview of the applicable wireless standards WiFi, Bluetooth and ZigBee from the view of the application is given. Finally a solution using a Bluetooth mesh network is demonstrated in a simulation of the scenario.
