The driving force behind business decision making, today, is computer software, which acts as a problem solving technology that differentiates products and services. The impact of software in today's culture and society is enormous and is its importance is expected to grow. This growth is forcing the software community to develop technologies/methods that will help organizations to build high-quality programs that are easier to develop and maintain, faster, and less expensive. This paper recommends the defined stage software companies can use statistical control process to manage their process using control charts with three sigma limit. We make a comparative analysis, which is based on control limits three sigma limit and two sigma limit. Guidelines are suggested for lower level software companies in order to apply SPC techniques successfully and obtain the greatest benefits from an SPC implementation.
