Abstract

In public sector organizations there are many changes ahead; one of them is developing electronic services. There is a demand for accessing and using public sector services through the internet. In private sector a wide range of electronic services is available in this way, and it makes sense to allow access to public sector services through the internet. At the same time, development of electronic services makes it possible to streamline processes and increase efficiency in the public sector. Here we look at development of electronic services in public sector organizations. In public sector these services are called e-services when they are made accessible to the users through internet. The challenge is to develop integrated services that are easy to use by citizens with different needs and skills.
