Interactive document composition requires users to launch complex programs, interleaving editing, integration, and formatting activities. Moreover, access to the document fragments may require specialised programs, possibly using proprietary formats. We propose a light-weight interaction framework for document composition, based on a notion of resource, where document construction amounts to selecting fragments, possibly generated via simple in-place editors or extracted from existing rich format documents. Actual document generation uses style sheets to produce different renderings for the same content.
