Abstract

In this paper we present the SMART tool. SMART allows designers of collaborative systems to describe the proposed users' communicative model for the system being designed. It analyzes this model and provides qualitative indicators of potential social impacts the system may bring to its users. SMART is based on the architecture model proposed by Manas and Semiotic Engineering theory.
