Abstract

Over the past years we have studied the performance of e-government portals in order to identify best practices. This poster proposes a performance measurement for internet state portal in México using data envelopment analysis (DEA). For each portal, DEA is applied to calculate an efficiency score based on outputs measuring usability of portals, such as information, interaction, transaction, integration and participation, and inputs such as employees, operation cost and equipment. Every state portal is evaluated using a standardized instrument in order to obtain outputs. Inputs are obtained through interviews with officials from each portal. Further research will yield insights into practices that better promotes functionality of portals.
