Abstract

This paper presents an exploration of the differences between agentbased and population-based models for trust dynamics. This exploration is based on both a large variety of simulation experiments and a mathematical analysis of the equilibria of the two types of models. The outcomes show that the differences between the models are not very substantial, and become less for larger numbers of agents.
