Standardization is important in bringing order and rigor to model development. Our attempt in this article is to articulate basics on model standardization from an endogenous perspective. The basis for a domain-neutral standard model for parallel DEVS formalism is described. An XML Schema model representing structures of parallel DEVS models is developed. Standardizing domain-specific application models using the proposed standard DEVS model is exemplified using MIPS32 processors.
